How I think my interview will go.

Interviewer: If we gave you a two hour time slot, what kind of music would you play and why?

Me: I would play an eclectic selection of hip hop, soul, funk, breaks and all associated vibes. I don't want to just play one genre because that would limit my audience.I want to play music that isn't commonly heard in mainstream or commercial radio. I don't think enough people in my age group appreciate good ol' quality soul music like: Marvin Gaye, Earth, Wind & Fire, Con Funk Shun, The Sylvers, and so forth. I was very fortunate enough to have an older sister who introduced me to hip hop when I was younger. But I didn't just stop at Hip hop. Once I heard that classic 90's Hip hop sound, I immediately wanted more. Thinking to myself: What is this music, where did it come from, and where do I find more of it? I quickly found myself digging through crates of old 70's-80's soul and funk records and upon listening to them I went bananas! I couldn't get enough. To be honest, I think music from that era is the best and it is very unfortunate that many young people in my generation and the next generations to come have no idea. I'd like to share the music I love with anyone who is willing to listen, and I think kucr 88.3 fm is a great opportunity to share these old school timeless gems with a younger audience.
